Meet Colt

Colt Black has been a lifelong Frederick County resident, and attended Frederick County Public Schools. Graduating from Catoctin High in 2006. Following high school he attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science as well as the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service graduating in 2009 with his A.O.S in Funeral Service.  After receiving his Maryland Mortician's license, Colt went on to found Black's Funeral Home as well as the Acacia Society. Colt holds licenses in funeral service in Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. He also holds numerous emergency services credentials including Emergency Medical Technician, NIMS, and Fire Officer 1. Colt is married and has 3 children all of whom attend Frederick County Public Schools. He is a duly elected member of the Frederick County Republican Central Committee. Colt hopes to bring his entrepreneurial spirit, business leadership, and public safety background to the Board of Education to improve student outcomes, ensure fiscal responsibility, and foster a safe environment for all students and staff.
